ZoneAlarm and Messenger Audio and Video

I have messenger 4.7 and Zone alarm Pro. The video and audio will not
function when ZA is active although Messenger has full rights. I have
to turn ZA off and then restart Messenger for the V and A to function.

If I then turn ZA on, the V and A still works. Can anyone explain what
the problem is please?
