Anita,

Well, here's one truly bizarre configuration that caused the problem. See
the first and last posts by joelmilleris in the thread at
http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,5075592~root=security,1~mode=flat
on the DSLR Security Forum.

Joel finally found and resolved his own problem. None of us could figure
out how it had happened it the first place, but I'd like to know if you
find the same problem. (If you wanna get amused at how we ran around
trying to figure out what the heck was going on, you can always read the
thread in its entirety! <g> )
