I didn't think there would be a need for anything special on the LAN
side, but thought I'd ask.

Yep, I can ping both ways. Machines are DHCP assigened from the
VPN/100 and I've made sure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on both.
Tried to search for the computers, renamed the computers, nuked the
network stack and rebuilt it from scratch to no avail when the
firewall is in the loop.
At this point I'm going to put a friggin' LMHOSTS file on each
machines and see if that works when connected to the firewall. I'm
kinda confused 'cuz it works great if we take the firewall out of the
picture but eveything NetBIOS takes a horrendous dump once we connect
back to the firewall..

might ds the trick.. heheh
