Constantly being port scanned -- is computer advertising itself?

There is a computer which I've used a few times, which has ZoneAlarm
(latest, non-Pro) version. Over the course of an hour, ZoneAlarm tells
me of attempted access from remote computers.. probably about 20 or so
times an hour. From totally different IPs and totally different ports.
This has happened three seperate days (the only days the PC has been
used) - using the same ISP which I normally use... and don't get the
same problem... but I'm using a different Firewall. The computer was
scanned a few weeks ago with the latest virus definitions. Any ideas
what's going on? ZoneAlarm tells me that 'the PC is safe' since it
blocked the port access... I'm still concerned, as it seems to be that
the PC is advertising that it's vulnerable.
