Hi
Can anyone explain the following?:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Windows IP Configuration
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : mydomain.com
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.168.10
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.168.1
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 2:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Autoconfiguration IP Address. . . : 4.0.1.0
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :
--------------------------------------------------------------
I only have one network card in my PC and should only have one LAN
connection.
Is this just Widows screwing up?
I also have a couple of entries in the firewall log about an IP spoof
relating to this IP.
I have now banned this IP (4.0.1.0) at my firewall though I do not
allow any unsolicited incoming connections and only permit a few basic
services out (web, email etc)
Thanks to anyone that can throw some light on this.
