First off, if you're using two software firewalls at the same time, they
could be corrupting each other, which screws things up.
However, if it's a software and a hardware firewall, you need to pick which
one of those needs to go. I'd say keep the hardware firewall. Just go into
its configuration and tell it you only want NAT and/or stateful packet
inspection. Put all other settings back to default. If that don't work,
put ALL settings back to defaults and see if that helps.
If it don't, then get rid of the hardware firewall and reinstall the
software firewall.
Honestly, you don't need to firewalls at home. (Unless you live with
Margaret Steward...)
