1. If you run in standard mode, you cannot have another subnet on the WAN
interface or the device will crash. Using the 'Intranet' tab on the Advance
page has no effect. I was told this by Tier 2, after submitting a Tech
support report. They gave me several beta firmwares to try with no effect.
2. If you want to use IKE the Sonicwall MUST be on the first usable IP in
the subnet. There is no way around this.
3. If the Sonicwall is NOT the first usuable IP in the subnet, Manual Key
is the only way to get a usuable point-to-point VPN.
3. If you set up the Sonicwall in standard mode, you are foced to use a
transparent mode setup. (Sonicwall gives you the "our products are not
routers" rhetoric)
