Yes, it should. Installing service pack 1 first would be a good idea, but
it should still work. However, you already have a firewall: all you have to
do is enable it. I'd suggest using the default WinXp internet connection
firewall instead of downloading one. The WinXp firewall isn't configurable,
really, but it's better due to being 1) included in your operating system
and 2) built into your operating system, which decreases the amount of
system effort generated. The WinXp firewall isn't the best in the business,
but it should be enough.
