nat provides spi, though perhaps not all of what netgear means by the
phrase.

anything is possible. one would hope that the processor in the unit with
`spi' would be sufficient to the task without introducing substantial
delay. whether netgear considers some value substantial versus your
opinion leaves plenty of room for disagreement. i suspect that netgear
would be buried in complaints if it were enough to be noticed (over their
non-`spi' models).
