Most of the current browsers on the market allow you to change which
version of http you use. I know IE6 and Mozilla/Netscape 6+ do. In fact I
think they go so far as to allow you to force 1.0 when using a proxy and
1.1 any other time.
Then you tell squid to pass the OWA webserver as DIRECT and not proxy.
You'll switch over to 1.1 and cruise right along.
