Allan,

You really need to give us more information on your particular network
topology and needs. What exactly are you trying to firewall against?
Internal administrator systems against student labs? Internet only? Are
you using private or public IP space? How do you connect to the Internet,
etc?

There can be different solutions based on your particular needs. Norton (or
any other package) may or may not be a good solution depending on your
overall network topology. More information is required from you in order to
make an adequate suggestion.
