Not related to the above but maybe I can fire a question at you?
Retrospect doesn't seem to support an "overwrite" option on backup sets, and
I'd like to use a "single tape as a set", i.e. Monday as a single tape that
is overwritten with a Full backup every Monday.
In "Backup" mode, retrospect will do a full backup to new media, and append
changes until full, then request "Monday 2".
If I choose a "New Media Backup" for EVERY execution, will retrospect always
perform a full backup, and overwrite the "Monday" catalog file?
If so, do I need to have users erase the media before execution, or does
retrospect erase "used" media upon a "New media backup"?
Only asking since they don't seem to want to provide any free support
anymore.
TIA,
Adam
