Thanks for responding Gordon. I have "View As Webpage" turned off as a
matter of course. However, in Windows XP, when you search on your hard
drive using the find feature, apparently Microsoft likes to know what
you are searching for, and explorer.exe trys to make an outgoing
connection to MS.
Zone Alarm alerted me to this; apparently TPFW is not. I liked Zone
Alarm, but between the executable, and the two related services, it was
eating too much resources. TPFW only uses about 7megs of ram on my
system. And I like the highly customizable rule wizard. It reminds of
AtGuard.
