On my desktop computer using Win2k, I have 15 active applications running
in the job tray from Belkin's Bulldog UPS monitor to MS SQL Server. In
addition to that, there is IIS services running on the computer and are
open to the public 24/7, along with various other services running on the
machine.

On my wireless laptop computer using Win2k, there are 15 applications
running in the job tray from NetMeeting Host for Remote Desktop Sharing to
MS SQL Server, along with IIS services, which are not open to the public,
along with various other services running on the machine.

BlackIce Defender 3.5 is on both machines, and while both machines are
setting in the idle mode the most CPU usage being used is between 1 and 2
percent.

When I do fire-up applications like Visual Studio.Net, MS Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, SQL Server Enterprise
Manager, etc, which all or some have been running together at one point or
another, along with everything else running on the machines, Blackice has
not hindered the execution of any of it.

I must say that I have not looked at CPU usage when I am doing that, but I
haven't noticed anything while BlackIce is running.
