Hello All...need some advice or better yet a place to bitch...

My Scenario:

-New installation of Windows 2000 Professional (with all the service
packs and critical updates installed)

-Security Settings: Administrator (Full Control), New User (Full
Control), Guest (limited access)

-Running Linksys router with Firewall software

Everytings great...then....

-Install Zone Alarm 2.061 (free Trojan Horse)

PROBLEM:

Now security settings for Administrator and New User are reduced to
Read and Write. The abilty to right-click and choose properties for
the drives on my computer is not functioning - I have tried everything
normal to access disk properties and cannot reset permission on my
drives to what I want, except by booting up in safe mode with
networking, then setting permissions there. Once I reboot and load
Windows my permissions are again stripped away.

I know its Zone Alarm because once I uninstall it...I gain control
back and again I am able to access disk properties.

WHAT IS GOING ON...

Come on all you Network and Firewall GURU's help me out...

Thanks in advance

Rosstarino
