If you wanna know the answer & learn at the same time, take your home pc not
behind a firewall, run a sniffer & connect to hotmail. You will then see if
extra ports are needed.

After do the same thing behind your firewall.

Then simply do the math to see where it stops , or who stops responding &
when.

Most likely your firewall is blocking the response back from hotmail or set
to filter hotmail.

Or simply find someone who knows the answer but then you don't learn :(
