I have an internal user who needs access to a specific port on a specific IP
address to complete an on-line transaction via a piece of windows software
running on his machine. I am running a proxy based firewall (FWTK) and have
tried to setup a plug to allow the request to pass through. The problem
lies with the fact that the IP address is external and FWTK will only allow
you to plug internal addresses through it. Is there anyway round this
problem without having to additionally setup a packet based firewall like
ipchains. I am running Red Hat Linux 7.2.
Any help or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
regards,
Aidan Anderson
