| I have just installed Norton Internet Security 2002 on a Windows 98 PC
| with Internet Explorer 6.0.. (latest updates). On some web sites, I
| am unable to see the icons such as http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
| or on the results page of the symantec service & support pages.
I can't quite make out exactly what may be causing your problem from the
above. I've run both NIS 3.0x (last version of NIS 2001) and NIS 4.0x
(current NIS 2002, as differentiated from NIS 2002 Professional) on a
Windows 98 SE machine without the problem you seem to be describing.
It might be worth your time to surf over to Albert Janssen's website and
download NIS Settings http://www.capimonitor.nl/atnissettings.htm .You can
then use this to easily document all your basic configuration settings in
NIS/NPF/AtGuard. Maybe we could then identify what's causing your
problem.
Just a thought.
