Thanks for your response. I have some good news. The network
administrators have solved the problem. It seems there is a "Remove
unknown headers" (or similar) option on the firewall that must be
disabled to prevent this from happening. This is according to the
network administrator, so I don't know for sure, but would suggest
that it may also be possible to extend the known headers list to
include those used by the Outlook Express/Hotmail interface.
