Well, duh, more security nearly always means less functionality.
Nothing wrong with upgrading the router to a higher level of security,
though. There are 3rd party anti-trojan softwares, but norton antivirus can
protect against those, as long as you're keeping it updated.
Still, you need to know that more security nearly always comes at a
sacrifice to some level of functionality. However, the newer versions of
norton antivirus also protect against script viruses and the like.
Hardware firewalls, especially those with stateful packet inspection, should
do their job in a more seamless manner, but check out www.auditmypc.com and
you'll be amazed what security one can compromise just using simple activeX
controls and java script.
