Taking a moment's reflection, Ranger Rick mused:

| I cannot seem to get ZA to let a remote connection through. I know it uses
| port 3389 but don't see anything like that in ZA, I will not know the IP
| address coming in so cant add that to my safe zones. So how DO I get it to
| allow remote connections?
Which version of ZoneAlarm, and is it Free, Pro, or Plus? If it is
other than Free, you can open that port. If it is Free, then it will be
more difficult ... if at all possible. Basically, you need to open that
port, or find the module that regulates the connection, and give it
Internet/Server access. In Pro/Plus, you can open that port by going to
Firewall >> Main >> Internet Zone >> Custom ... scroll down, and add the
appropriate setting.
