Do post back as I would like to know what happened with this. I know that
there are no settings with the router you're going to be able to set that's
going to be able to set the mip speed.
That's like trying to force a hub or switch that it's going to be 10 or 100
mips by some setting you can set on the device. I have not seen this, but
maybe there is a device like that.
There are three flavors on devices like that I have seen.
1) It's 10 mips
2) It's 100 mips
3) It's 10/100 mips with the capability to switch between the two.
You cannot connect a 10 to a 100 and you can't connect a 100 to a 10.
The device has to be able to see the speed coming if it's 10/100. Either the
speed is coming to the router at 100 mips and it cannot switch or it's never
coming at 100 mips to begin with. It can see at 10 mips There is not a
whole lot you can do here, other then, check the card to see if its coming
at 100 mips. Take the computer to a 10/100 or 100 mip hub, if you can, and
see if it can connect.at 100 mips.
The card could be defective, the router can be defective, or they just don't
play well together.
That's it. You don't need to be a rocket scientists to see the obvious.
Keep it simple.
Duane :)
