I'm trying to set up ClosedBSD to be my router/firewall.
at this point i just want something simple that works, allowing multiple
computers to share my single IP address.
I have a linksys router, but it drops me sometimes, plus its no fun ;)
I booted closed off the cd i assigned an internal ip to one nic
[192.168.1.1] and made it the default gateway. i tried using dhcp to get
an external ip [as cox, my isp, uses dhcp. tho its possible to keep
the same ip, but it gets a little more sloppy], but this didnt work, so
then i assigned it manually. then i enabled natd and set the basic
firewall ruleset.
i can ping the internal interface from another machine, but im not able
to get thru the firewall to access the net. any ideas what i need to do
to get this sucker working? id really like to ditch this linksys.
thanks
yussef
