My ISP whose site is www.cableone.net supplies a list of Cableone "Safe
IP's" so that one can configure their firewalls to allow those "Safe
IP's" and depending on the firewall prevent logging them as well to keep
log file sizes down.
It is very much routine for broadband ISP's to continually scan it's
customers. One if the things they look for are web servers which are
against the AUP. I like that since those running illegal web servers get
detected and return bandwidth to the legitimate users.
