| I have been using ZoneAlarm for a couple years now. I had no
problems
| until recently, when I decided to try out Zone Alarm Pro. I uninstalled
it
| by the third day. It slowed my computer down considerably and took
forever
| to start up.
|
| What really made me mad, though, was how the pop-up blocking
feature
| prevented all pop-ups, like new browser windows generated by clicking
links
| or by choosing "Open in New Window" in IE6's right-click menu, from
loading.
| I uninstalled ZAP and went back to using the free edition of ZA. The
problem
| still existed, so I uninstalled ZA, following the instructions at the
| support site. No such luck. I am still having this problem. It used to
be a
| breeze to surf the web and play Shockwave games, but not anymore.
Whenever a
| new window pops up, I have to hit the Stop button (or the Esc. key),
then
| Refresh to get the page to load. Can anyone help me?
|

When ZA is in, you can turn off the ad-blocker. If you do put it back in,
click on the privacy tab on the left, and look at the ad blocker in the
middle - select off. I played with yesterday in Expedia, & the effect was
pretty much instant.
