Hi All,
Apologies if this is a repeated post....
I have just gone broadband (cable). I have 2 PCs running Windows 2000 Pro,
they are networked
together via a LAN so I have access to both. 1 PC has 2 NIC adapters in, 1
for the broadband connection
and 1 for the LAN connection. I have Internet connection sharing enabled so
that I can use the
broadband on both PCs, with me so far? good.....
I have tried installing ZoneAlarm 3 into the broadband PC but when it
initiates I just get the message
"ZoneAlarm trying to initialise true vector internet monitor" and then it
just sits there. I can't uninstall
ZoneAlarm until I boot into safe mode (I also get the same message in safe
mode if I try and run it!)
I have tried shutting down ALL applications through the task manager, and
all non required processes, but
it still just sits there. It will install okay on PC 2, so I guess some bit
of software somewhere is
conflicting, any ideas??
I have now switched to Tiny Firewall 3, but I can't get the internet
connection sharing working with
this firewall, can it be done??
The reason I wanted to use ZoneAlarm is as it supports internet connection
sharing. As you may have
guessed, I'm pretty new to this, so any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
Nik
