A little more information might be useful. I'm going to assume you only
need to protect the machine where the firewall is installed. Sygate is my
choice for this. If you have other computers, you can install Sygate on
them as well. For a web server or other internet-visible server, I use
Sygate and BlackIce on the same machine, but also a hardware firewall in
front of them. Hardware firewalls start at $70 for Netgear.
If you need a professional grade firewall for a network, let us know.
