Yes, you are indeed missing quite a lot - so much so that Zone Labs
has a special web page dedicated to uninstalling it properly. Don't
forget to bring your lunch.

In particular you need to remove the datafiles on some obscure
directory I have forgotten about. Otherwise the uninstall you just did
accomplishes nothing. Then you are given a list of Registry hacks you
must do with Regedit. You may want to bring supper too - or a fifth of
good scotch.

Once you have gone thru that insane ritual of getting ZA completely
off your system, step back and ask yourself a simple existential
question: Is it worth having to go thru this absurdity again?

Most rational people concur that it is not, and they move on to
firewalls that work. Until advised otherwise, I recommend Kerio
Personal Firewall and Agnitum Outpost Pro. The former is free and the
latter costs $40. Kerio is very simple to use, and Outpost is fully
featured, including a content filter that blocks ads and active
elements in web pages.

If you reinstall that virus ZA again, then you have only yourself to
blame for further frustration. ZA is written by sadists and meant for
masochists, so if avoiding unnecessary pain is important to you, stay
as far away from ZA as you would anthrax.
