Oops, sorry, I'd seen enough of you around that I though you knew who Dave
was.
Guess it's time to be a bit more serious.
Dave is the keeper of the "List of Lists", well known to GRC groupies. He
can't figure out if he wants to be a curmudgeon or a dilettante! <g> But
almost everything (note the "almost") that Dave has to say is worth
reading. (God, it was painful for me to admit that! <g> )
He has a rather wry (in his case, probably best spelled 'rye') sense of
humor, but he's quite knowledgeable, good-natured, thoughtful, and helpful
for the most part. (Poof!! There goes another carefully nurtured
self-image! <g> )
He and I screw with each other's heads a great deal; but, quite frankly,
the Internet (at least to me) would be a lot less fun without people like
Dave. (Now I've probably mortified him; at least I hope I have! <g> )
Yes, he lives up in the Mountains (somewhere or other). And they have
networks. But you understand them a lot better if you've got a copy of
the old movie "Thunder Road" squirreled away on videotape someplace.
