when u shut it off, is everything ok? I am not familar with N. But if
everything is alright when its not on, maybe u could just uninstall it then
reinstall
it, putting it back to its orig state. Thats not really answering ur Q, but
shgould solve the prob.

I have installed Norton Personal firewall 2002 on win98 and it has worked fine.
It has been regularly patched using symantec's live update.
However the last update has affected my access to the internet.
I can't access any web pages and access to web mail through outlook express is the same when firewall is enabled. Turn off firewall and it's fine.
I have checked my user definable settings and nothing has changed.
I baffled
Any help welcome.
