I'm not trying to brush you off or anything, but in the IT industry you
can't always follow 'marketing hype'.
Mandrake, RedHat, SuSe, Caldera, etc. I couldn't possibly list all the
vulnerabilities on this reply, same with windows too. What you would have to
do is spend a lot of time patching the box(s) though and then securing it
down too.

I'd recommend following up on some security sites such as: www.sans.org,
www.cert.org, www.securityfocus.com, www.redhat.com/errata, www.google.com
etc.. etc.. Mandrake is based off of RedHat. I know it's actractive, such as
the installer and what not but keeping up with the various (188 or more to
date) fragmented linux distro's sure isn't easy, not to mention linux kernel
security/stability issues.

Just food for thought. If you like it don't let anything get in your way,
but if you're open minded, you should really consider trying other
alternatives - it does the mind good.
