Most DHCP servers allow you to use dynamic for clients, and config an
excluded range for statics. That way you only have to do statics on
your servers, and the rest can use DHCP. DHCP is really only usefull
if you have large network and lots of IP's to manage. I can't imagine
you have all that many computers in your house, so statics shouldn't
be problem
