Was wondering if some one might help out a novice. I am new to
networks and am trying to learn. I have a developer background, so
computers are not completely foreign to me. I have setup WinRoute 4.1
as our firewall, yet I cannot seem to get the local computers to gain
outside access to the internet. I read that you have to use Windows
2000 DNS server if you have WinRoute setup on a Domain COntroller with
ADS installed. However, I am unable to get the whole setup working
properly.

All other aspects of the setup are working properly, the DHCP is
serving up correct IP addresses and such, but the internal machines
are unable to access the DNS server and have requests forwarded
through that server. The problem does not lie in the network
connection as I am running the DNS server and WinRoute on the same
machine. I am sure it is something that I am setting up incorrectly
in my ignorance on the entire subject. Any help is appreciated.
