3 COM 812 ADSL Router security tips

Change your username and password, and delete the default username and
password.

If you do not have a web server, create a filter to discard IP packets
from remote sites to port 80.

This will prevent malicious users from attacking your router, and
changing its usernames/passwords, ADSL line pairs, discarding all
traffic, sending DNS lookups to their web site (traffic analysis),
etc.

I'd appreciate other tips from more knowledgeable users.
