I have a 5-user license for ZoneAlarm Pro, using the most current version
and I had to disable it
completely in order to browse shares on other machines on my internal LAN
(e.g. NET VIEW \\{machinename}).
If I didn't disable it I got system error 5 from the NET command. This ONLY
happens when I log on
to the domain as ADMINISTRATOR. If I use any other login, there is no
problem.
I logged an issue with ZoneLabs on Sat 2/16. BTW, my local network security
level was "Low". The local LAN
(192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0) was listed in the local zone contents along with
broadcast (255.255.255.255), IP broadcast (192.168.0.255),
localhost (127.0.0.1-127.0.0.1) and default (0.0.0.0).
In the past I had to disable ZoneAlarm to join/disjoin from my Win 2K
domain.
