I couldn't close port 135 (RPC), so I blocked all access through my Firewall
(Sygate Pro 5.0) for svchost.exe.
This seems to make no difference to my Internet or LAN access (Cable Modem)
The only thing I notice is that incoming UDP packets from my ISP's DNS/DHCP
servers are blocked, yet I can still use the web, etc.
Is there any reason I CAN'T block svchost.exe from accessing the outside
world or my LAN?
Thanks
Clive
