I've run Smoothwall and its a nice easy basic firewall.
Their support "forums" is a list server and if you post
certain typs of questions you will be cut off and ridiculed.
The developers of SmoothWall are firewall purists (bigots).
Anyway don't even think about asking how do I add this or
that feature.
I'm currently running ClarkConnect right now and it is very
good and easy to manage from a web browser like SmoothWall.
ClarkConnect also provides dynamic DNS resolution for your
network that is handy if yout IP address changes.

ClarkConnect also can act as a print server for printers
attached to it and you can manage those printers from
you LAN via port 631 on the router. It runs CUPS, the
Common Unix Printing System. Clark also has a web server
too. It also runs the junkbuster proxy to filter ads for
all the computers on your network. They also have a true
web based support forum and no question is a dumb question.
Good luck with your decision whatever it may be.
