Will ZoneAlarm Stop a Worm's Built-In SMTP Client???

I have ZA set to High security and it runs from bootup. I have only a few
apps set for Pass Lock.

Presumably (I hope) any new app (an SMTP) attempting to access the 'Net
would be flagged.
