I don't understand you question. ZoneAlarm has little to do with
privacy per se except that it may block out the occasional spyware. If
you are asking how to set ZA on it's most secure mode, set the right
slider to HIGH. The left can be to most restrictive you require. Hope
you have disabled NetBIOS (see http://grc.com.)
If you're trying to protect your privacy, you need a little more than
ZA. Here are 5 free ways to protect your privacy and security:

1. Get Ad-Aware to root out spyware.

2. Get Proxomitron - it hides referrer URLs.

3. Delete all your cookies (including the index.dat files for IE),
create dummy files with the same name, and then write protect all the
index.dat files. This permanently deletes the ability for IE and
Netscape to store cookies, yet maintains full functionality on the
web.

4. Get DNSKong - blocks DNS lookups. Kind of like HOSTS but much more
efficient: you only need to specify one domain and every domain with
that name is blocked. For example, to block 24/7 Media's 200+ ad
servers, I jsut have to put "247media" in DNSKong's config file, and
all their servers by that name are blocked. I posted a list recently
in alt.privacy.spyware and will post it again if requested. May need
companion eDexter program for some programs, particularly if you use
Netscape. I posted a config file in alt.privacy.spyware under DNSKong
configuration file on 12/18.

5. Get an IP flitering firewall like Tiny Personal Firewall (which,
BTW, works very nicely with ZA free version.) I have a list of
spyware-related IP addresses that can be blocked. Alternatively, if
you have a lot of patience, you can configure TPF in a restrictive
mode such as to only allow access to IP address of which you approve,
and disallow all else. If you want my list, it's posted in
alt.privacy.spyware under "Re: Disabling Spyware - Programming
Code/Techniques". I'll repost it upon request.
