Luigi,

| Each time I reboot, ZA forgets all the programs and permissions from
last
| session.
|
| Also, ZA asks for permissions for some programs but does not list their
| names.

Are you running KaZaA, Grokster, Limewire, BearShare, or Net2Phone? If
so, are you using one of the recent updates? Apparently, part of the
adware associated with latest versions of some of these products has
become infected with dlder.exe, which is a Trojan Loader. There have been
a limited number of reports that suggest dlder.exe screws up ZA settings.
(I think I've now seen three scattered here and there.)

| I've run several McAfee virus scans on my computer since the above
problems
| began and no viruses reported.

I'm not sure if McAfee's got it covered yet. IIRC, they didn't have it on
29 Dec, but I subsequently heard a report that there was a description in
their virus dictionary, so it might be covered in the very latest virus
signature files. NAV, KAV, Trend Micro do cover it and I now hear that
The Cleaner will detect it, also. Also, latest updates for Ad-Aware.

Again, the current reports are not conclusive. And, since dlder.exe is a
Trojan Loader, it might be something else messing with ZA. Just a
possibility for your investigation.
