2. you better use LILO or GRUB as bootstrap instead of ntloader.

It's wrong. You'll only get pain in ass that way.
But you may use 1st stage sector of GRUB this way:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(x)\grub.sec = "SuSE Linux"
(_not LILO_).

Read documentation on lilo _carefully_. If `man lilo`
and `man lilo.conf` will not be enough, look into
/usr/share/doc/lilo/README file.
