Hi!
I have an issue with NTFS permissions on a W2K box.
Fig.:
c:\-|
|--- Folder 1
| |
|--- Folder 1.1
|
I unchecked the box "Allow inheritable permissions from parent to
propagate to this object" for the Folder "Folder 1" since I want this
folder to not inherit the permission settings from root. Then I set the
new permissions for "Folder 1". At Folder "Folder 1.1" the checkbox to
inherit the permissions from parent is checked. So "Folder 1.1" should
inherit the permissions from "Folder 1". But this does not work. The
permissions for "Folder 1.1" are still the same as before (from root).
When I move "Folder 1.1" to another location and then back into the
original folder the settings are ok. The same, when I create a new
subfolder in "Folder 1". This new folder then also has the permissions
inherited from "Folder 1". But when I change the permissions on "Folder
1", they are not "send" to the childs.
Please help.
Thanks
Chris
