Wrong move.
1. Add the extra server to NT4 domain, installed as an NT4 BDC
2. Promote this server to PDC (demoting the old server to a BDC)
3. Upgrade this server to windows 2000
I'm afraid now is too late if you don't have a backup. Next time you should
research before doing such a move. Microsoft has plenty of whitepapers about
the migration scenarios (like in place migration or restructure using ADMT
tool.
