I have a IBM Thinkpad that runs WinNT SP4 at work. It was bought with some
automotive diagnostic software pre-loaded on the machine. When the machine
starts it runs a script that logs it on and take you directly to the
diagnostic software and a locked down version of the WinNT desktop. The
desktop is blank and the start menu only allows you to access programs
loaded and shut down the laptop. I need to find away around the script so I
can logon and replace a missing file so the software will work. The
manufacture has stopped supporting the system because they have a newer
version out and I dont have any of the disc that came with the system. So
as of right now I have $9,000 worth of useless equipment that I cant have
repaired. If anyone know of a way for me to bypass the script so I can get
to a logon screen I can do the rest from there. TAI
Thanks,
Jon
