You are of course correct, but the profile can be cached on the local
machine, especially if you have a slow connection to the server.

Yes it is, via gpedit.msc you can define how the profiles should be
treated, but i'm not sure that it works the way I intended.

Thing is, i set the whole profile directory to read-only, but still
the user can change the icons a.s.o.
Netware doesn't play a role here, as it is only used for storing the
profile.

I thought that this setup is fairly common, and that somebody had
already done it.
