[XP] server based profile, secure

Hi folks !

Sorry if this topic isn't sophisticated, but i'm fairly new in the
"Make It n00b-proof" department ;)

I have several XP Pro machines and a novell server.
On the XPs there is the admin and one normal user account.

I want the profile of this normal user to be serverbased (did that)
AND secure, in that they can't change anything (especially desktop).

If the local profile is damaged, it should download the serverbased
one, if not, use the local one.

I've searched web and news, but found nothing which really helped me.

please point me to the right resources
gpedit.msc didn't help me that much sadly
