If that's the standard 1.5 source, it uses only A-Z. See brute_lanman()
in ztest.c. Only way to reset is to change source code and recompile.
If you have the LM hashes, you might want to try John the Ripper instead
(http://www.openwall.com/john/). Install the non-BETA 1.6 version, and then
the latest 1.6.31 over that to get some important speedups. If you're on a
Windows platform, you can compile it within Cygwin (www.cygwin.com). Note the
first few words -- 'if you have the LM hashes'.
If it's important, it's probably easier to buy a LC4 license, select the
character set to brute force over, and sit back and wait. On a 500 MHz
system, expect 12 days for max brute forcing without special reconfiguration.
