I recently purchased a system with NT4 installed and when I powered it up it
asked me logon to the domain. Not knowing the correct password I guessed
that it might be the same as the user name and I was successfully able to
log on (from cached information, it said, since I was no longer connected to
the domain.)
Not having much experience with NT, I went into the machine properties and
changed the logon from domain to workgroup, thinking this was more
appropriate. Now I'm completely locked out. The password no longer works,
and I've tried a few others, to no avail. Is there anything I can do to
re-establish access, short of fdisk and reinstalling?
Thanks in advance,
Jason
