I am new to NT and have given a word file read, write, and execute
access. From what I have read, giving the file write access should
allow me to change the contents of the file. Anyway, I am finding out
that I cannot save the file either as the same name or a different name
unless I also give it Delete access...
So, if I want to actually modify a file, I also have to give it Delete
access?????
If this is true, can someone tell me why. Is it something with NT and
how NT saves files?? Also if true, is there anyway around this so a
user can modify a file, but not delete entirely from the hard disk?
