Hey
In GENERAL things sync up rather nicely. There are a few things you should
worry about, namely, outlook express internet email settings. You get
dreaded errors that require you to go into the registry as the user under
hkeylocalmachine and if you have your users restricted like I do, its a pain
in the ass.
There are some other things to play with, but, generally, the transition is
relatively painless. If you have users, however, who like to *** with
their profiles, then you can find yourself in a world of hurt all too
quickly. Also, watch out if you have machines that have Win2k on them and
others that have Winnt4 and your users have roaming profiles. In that case
I just like to make them mandatory since the one on the server is the one
that will download regardless of what crappy applications they want to
install on their machines.
If you have not heard it by now, be darn careful with policies. You can
paint your ass in a corner in a serious hurry and spend days trying to undo
it.
Hope this helps,
